Dear Fred,

Roland (luckybuck) asked us for the SAG archief. He told us that you are looking for a copy. So, yes we still have a copy which was given to us by Marius Diepenholz back in 2015. It's about 10 MByte (ZIP) or 6 MB (7z). Please let us know how we can send it to you.

Greetings,

Michael (ABBUC PD-Service)

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your message. The archive made by Marius was a joint effort of Marius and myself, so I have that one :) This archive is missing disks 15, 42, 44, 45, 62, 63, 139, 146, 165, 170, 216, 266, 270 and 271. According to the letter of the SAG (when they stopped publishing the magazine) the complete physical PD library was given to the Abbuc. But this was in 1989.....

So I am searching for the missing disks to complete the archive Marius and I made :)

Thank you for trying to help me, it is much appreciated!

Kind regards, Fred

Hi Fred,

yes, Marius told us that a few disks were missing when he gave us a copy of the archive in 2015 but i forgot about that. Currently our PD library runs completely on software basis (SQL server) but there is a chance to find the physical disks. The entire ABBUC PD lib was given to us by Walter Lojek (goodbytexl) around 2012. The disks are stored in cool & dry places away from my current home at my parents. I'm not sure if the SAG disks were among them. It will take 2-3 weeks to check it out. I will get back to you with more infos ...

Best regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your efforts! I will keep my fingers crossed :D

Take your time, there is absolutely no rush.

Here is a picture of how these disks should look like, there was also a small library of tapes.

Thanks again! Fred

Hi Fred,

back again with more info regarding SAG Archief. We found the box with the disks among the other PD stuff which was given to us by Walter Lojek in 2012. But unfortunately exactly the missing disks mentioned by you were not in the collection. Also no tapes were included. The question is what happened to the missing disks. Have they been given to ABBUC or not. Currently there are more ATRs in the ZIP-file than physical disks in the box. I think i will ask Walter for more info. Maybe he can tell us more about it. Before Walter the PD lib was maintained by Theo Schwacke, which we don't know personally. I'm sorry that i cannot help at the moment but maybe we will know more in the future.

Best regards,

Michael

P.S. If you like you could give me your email address for easier communication. You can reach me via waseo@mipro-online.de.

Hi Michael!

Thank you for all the efforts you put into this. I have almost a complete physical copy of the SAG library myself, so it is interesting to know that the same disks are missing in both libraries. Hopefully Walter knows more and if he does not, we have tried everything ;)

Of course you can have my email address, it is absolutely no secret :D fred@rewindgames.com

Thanks again and hopefully some other stuff will be found in the future!

By the way, I am very happy with the PD-pages in Abbuc Magazin :) As you probably know, I make the English version of the magazine and you guys make my life so much easier because you create that page in MS Publisher. I have worked with Publisher many years and it is much easier to work with than Affinity Publisher (used by Sascha) :D

Kind regards, Fred
